God called Maria Stella peacefully on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the age of 86. She will be forever missed by her loving brother, Michele (Lidia), and sisters, Crocetta, and Giuseppina. Maria Stella is re-united in Heaven with her brothers-in-law, Gino Motta, and Tony Perketa. Proud Zia to Sam (Debbie) Rietta, Lucy Motta, Angela (Massimo D’Alessandro), Maria (Peter Budisa), Cinzia Motta, Alex Motta, Joe (Heather) Perketa, and Sammy (Rochelle) Perketa. Lovingly remembered by many grand-nieces and nephews. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Tuesday October 3, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday October 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernard de Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church (1789 Lawrence Ave., east of Jane St.). Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (on Albion Rd., at Hwy 27). If so desired, donations in memory of Maria Stella may be made to Osteoporosis Canada, or the Canadian Cancer Society .
