God called Giovanni peacefully on Thursday September 28, 2017 at the age of 92. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Giuseppina. Cherished by his dear children, Valentino (Valerie), Nancy (Ross Bellissimo) and Teresa (Pat Pizzi). Proud Nonno to Michael, John (Erin), Stephen (Aniko), Deanna (Mark), Vince (Tania), Daniel (Caressa), Andrew (Christina), Adam (Ashley), Alex and Anthony. Adoring great-grandfather to Josh, Rebecca, Rachel, Julian, Taylon, Dahlia, Sebastian, Liam, Lauren, Sophia, Nicholas and Mia. Giovanni will always be remembered by his siblings, Concetta (Giovanni) in the USA, Michele (Edda), Giuseppe (Concetta) and Carmine (Lucia). He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Saturday September 30, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. and on Sunday October 1, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday October 2, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Jane Frances Roman Catholic Church (2747 Jane St., north of Sheppard Ave.). Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery (on Bathurst St., north of Finch Ave.). If so desired, donations in memory of Giovanni may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
