God called Oreste peacefully on Tuesday June 20, 2017 at the age of 85. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Connie. Cherished by his dear children, Michael (Elizabeth), Peter (Susan), Oliana (Kyle Brodie). Proud Nonno to Marc, John, Sarah, Alexandra, Madison and Makayla. Oreste will always be remembered by his siblings Pasquarosa (Settimio Stornelli), late Domenico (late Palmerina) Ivana (Carmine Ferrari) and Santina (Sabatino Torrelli) of Italy; by his brother in law Roger Porretti (Jacqueline), sister-in-law Marisa Ciccolini (Max). He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, nieces and nephews, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Thursday June 22, 2017 from 4-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday June 23, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (150 St. Francis Ave., north of Rutherford Rd.). Interment to follow Beechwood Cemetery (on Jane St., south of Hwy 7). If so desired, donations in memory of Oreste may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Toronto General Hospital – Thoracic Department 10th floor.
