God called Maria peacefully on May 16, 2017 at the age of 91. She is now reunited in heaven with her loving husband, Pasquale and her siblings. Cherished by her dear children Carlo (Nancy) and Nancy (Frank Grande). Proud Nonna to Carlo Raponi (Ashley Caufin), Vanessa Raponi, Stephen Grande (Elena Popesko), Amanda Sacco (Raffaele) and Marc Grande. Maria will always be remembered by her sister’s in-law Lucille Rea and Santina Rea. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Thursday May 18, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday May 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (150 St. Francis Ave., north of Rutherford Rd.). Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (on Albion Rd., at Hwy 27). If so desired, donations in memory of Maria may be made to the ALS Society of Canada.
