God called Maria peacefully on April 21, 2017 at the age of 94. She is now reunited in heaven with her loving husband Mauro Luigi. Cherished by her dear children Ugo (Anna Maria), Giovanni (Marisa) and Betty (Joseph Cafiso). Proud Nonna to Laura (Joe), Lidia, Livia and Leticizia. Maria will always be remembered by her sister Vittoria (Carlo Spadafora). She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitation will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Sunday April 23, 2017 from 2 – 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday April 24, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (150 St. Francis Ave., north of Rutherford Rd.). Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery (East of Yonge St., at Hwy 401). If so desired, donations in memory of Maria may be made to the Mackenzie Health Foundation.
