God called Adelina peacefully on April 16, 2017 at the age of 88. She is now reunited in heaven with her loving husband, Giorgio. Cherished by her dear children Philip (Nella), Andy (Eleanor) and Lui (Franca). Proud Nonna to Adele (Ralph Intranuovo), Nadia (Paolo Petricca), George Philip (Laura), Laura (Dave Battaglia), George Andrew (Cindy), Giorgio and Roberto. Adoring great grandmother to Vera. Adelina will always be remembered by her brother Raffaele Mercuri (Antonietta) in Italy. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Wednesday April 19, 2017 from 6 – 9 p.m. and Thursday April 20, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday April 21, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (150 St. Francis Ave., north of Rutherford Rd.). Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (on Albion Rd., at Hwy 27). If so desired, donations in memory of Adelina may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
