God called Gioacchino peacefully on February 14, 2017 at the age of 88. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Filomena. Gioacchino is now reunited in Heaven with his daughter Maria. Cherished always by his dear children, Emanuele (Natalie), Cecilia (John Palmieri), Vincenzo (Lucy), Giuseppe (Sharon), Sabina (Mike Kareckas) and son in law Carmine Agosta. Proud Nonno to Sofie, Anna (Mark), Menna (Joe), Michelle (Mike), Jaqueline (Adrian), Michael, Vinny, Jack, Jade, Niki, Zoey, and Abbey. Loving great grandfather to Ella Francesca, Michael, Joseph, Olivia, and Aiden. Gioacchino will always be remembered by his siblings Michele (Anna) and Sabina (Cosimo Valerio). He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Thursday February 16, 2017 from 2-4 p.m., and 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday February 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church (2547 Kipling Ave., north of Finch Ave.). If so desired, donations in memory of Gioacchino may be made to the Sick Kids Foundation.
