God called Mafalda peacefully on January 11, 2017 at the age of 85. She is now reunited with her loving husband, Francesco. Cherished by her dear children, Sina (Renato Oliverio), Liliana (Domenico Tavone), Connie Oliverio, Peter (Lynn), Robert (Palma), Maurizio (Suwan). Proud grandmother to Francesco (Rosana), Michael (Carla), Vanessa (Lamar Hylton), Amanda, Jessica, Stefano (Andrea), Robert, Lydia, Mario (Charlotte), Laura (Mike DeVito), Daniel, Marc, Giuliano, Silvio. Adoring great grandmother to Christian, Nicolas, Joseph, Luca, Bianca, Matteo, Cora. Mafalda will always be remembered by her sister Franca and brother Roberto. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Sunday January 15, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday January 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church (811 Lawrence Ave., at Dufferin St.). Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery (on Bathurst St., north of Finch Ave.). In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mafalda may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
