God called Maria peacefully on December 30, 2016 at the age of 89. She is now reunited in Heaven with her loving husband, Vincenzo. Cherished by her dear children, Sam (Emilia Ruggiero), John (Laura), Domenic (Jennifer), Rocco (Cathy). Proud grandmother to Maryellen (Mike Sansone), David (Jennifer), Enzo (Kelly), Joshua (Trevor), Bruno (Jacqueline), Christina (Dario), Peter, Olivia, Maurizio, Viviana, Brandon Saverio, and Domenica. Adoring great grandmother to Bianca, Luca, Hudson, Lorenzo, Jasmine and Thomas. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Tuesday January 3, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. and on Wednesday January 4, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday January 5, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Padre Pio Parish (5500 Major Mackenzie Dr., west of Islington Ave.). Entombment to follow at Glen Oaks Cemetery (3164 Ninth Line., north of Dundas St. E.). If so desired, donations in memory of Maria may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
