God called Maria peacefully on October 13, 2016 at the age of 72. She will be forever missed by her companion Antonio Lanciano. Cherished by her dear children Michele Sorbo (Ida), Assunta (Peter Safar), Patricia (John Safar), Sergio Sorbo, and Lucia Dora (Salvador Martins). Proud grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of 7. She will be held dear in the hearts of her siblings, nieces and nephews, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Saturday October 15, 2016 from 6-9pm and Sunday October 16, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday October 17, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church (8500 Islington Ave., south of Langstaff Rd.). Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (on Albion Rd., at Hwy 27). If so desired, donations in memory of Maria may be made to the Sick Kids Foundation.
