Gina Maria Sponziello passed away peacefully on October 10 2016 in her 91st year. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Raffaella, son-in-law Victor and his family, her brother Tullio and family. Rejoined in heaven with her husband Cesare, her brothers Giovanni and Dino and sister Bruna. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Villa Colombo Day Program. Very special gratitude to the 5th floor staff of the Villa Colombo residence whose faithful dedication, humour and patience allowed Maria to maintain quality of life to the end. Great appreciation to the Newlin neighbours for their unwavering support. They truly embodied the commandment Love your neighbour as yourself. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Friday October 14, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday October 15, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church (300 Ansley Grove Rd., north of Chancellor Dr.). Entombment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery (on Jane St., south of Hwy 7). If so desired, donations in memory of Gina Maria may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
