God called Francesco peacefully and while surrounded by his family, on September 24, 2016 at the age of 92. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Francesca. Cherished by his dear children, Vincenzo (Diana Smith), Nicolas (Mary) and Rosa (Frank Savino). Proud Nonno to 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Survived by his siblings Concetta (predeceased), Elisabetta (Vincenzo) (predeceased), Vito (Denise) (predeceased), Tony, Vincenzo (Irene), and Vittoria (Franco). He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends.
Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Monday September 26, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday September 27, 2016 from 2-4 p.m., and 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday September 28, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Roch’s Roman Catholic Church (2889 Islington Ave., south of Steeles Ave). Entombment will follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (Albion Rd., at Hwy 27). If so desired, donations in memory of Francesco may be made to the Lung Association and Heart & Stroke Foundation.
