God called Assunta peacefully on June 5, 2016 at the age of 78. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Luigi. Cherished by her two children, Tony (Maria) and Rob. Proud and adoring Nonna to Michael, Daniela and Marco. Assunta will always be remembered by her brothers and sisters, Pasquale (Anna), Ginezio (Anna), Egedio (Luciana), Umberto (Maria Pia), and Lidia (Joe Cretaro). She will be held dear in the hearts of all her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Tuesday June 7, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday June 8, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church (300 Ansley Grove Rd., north of Chancellor Dr.). Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (on Hwy 27, south of Hwy 7). If so desired, donations in memory of Assunta may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
