God called Maria peacefully on May 20, 2016 at the age 90. She will be held dear in the hearts of her Husband Manuel Gomes her Daughters Elisia(Manuel), Teresa(Jose) her Sons Fernando(Aida),Manuel(Esmeralda),Filipe(Laurdes), and grandchildren and Greatgrandchildren family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will be held at the Vescio Funeral Home “Toronto Chapel” (2080 Dufferin St., north of Rogers Rd. 416.656.3332) on Monday from 2-4 and 6-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday May 24, 2016 at 9:30am at St. Matthews Roman Catholic Church (706 Old Weston Rd.). Entombment will follow at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St. Clair Avenue West, East of Caledonia Rd.). If so desired donations in memory of Maria can be made to the Lung Association or Alzheimer Society.
