God called Rita peacefully on April 25, 2016 at the age of 80. She is now reunited in Heaven with her loving husband, Rinaldo. Cherished by her dear children, Maria (Remo Salati), Sandra (Pierino Salati), and Patrizia (Joe Cerisano). Proud grandmother to Antonella, Nadia (Kenneth), Vincenzo (Jessica), Marco (Lisa), Sonia (Sandro), Cristina (Joe), Michael (Pamela), and Anthony. Adoring great-grandmother to Mikayla, Cole, Matteo, Daniel and Julia. Rita will always be remembered by her sister, Anna. She will be greatly missed by her adorable puppy, Chico. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Wednesday April 27, 2016 from 6-9 p.m., and Thursday April 28, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday April 29, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church (100 Bainbridge Ave., at Martin Grove Rd.). Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (on Albion Rd., at Hwy 27). If so desired, donations in memory of Rita may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
