God called Matteo peacefully on April 20, 2016 at the age of 87. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Teresa. Cherished by his dear children, Paolo (Lucia), Anna (Gamal Buzaakuk), Antonietta (Bardhyl Cenolli), and Luciano (Edlira). Proud Nonno to Ronald, Ashley, Matthew, Paul, Olivia, and Alessia. Matteo will always be remembered by his sisters, Rosa (Franco), Brigida (Pietro-Pre Deceased), Margherita (Quirico), Antonietta (Quirico-Pre Deceased), and Piera (Nicola-Pre Deceased). He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Saturday April 23, 2016 from 6-9pm and Sunday April 24, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday April 25, 2016 at 9:30 a.m., at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (150 St. Francis Ave., off Rutherford Rd., west of Weston Rd). Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (off Bayview Ave., south of Hwy 7). If so desired, donations in memory of Matteo may be made to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
